When you will open the PowerPoint to create a presentation. You will see the Page and each page is called a slide. First is of the Title slide which contains text placeholder. To customize this slide layout, you have to select the place holder text. Then you have to enter the title and the subtitle. office.com/setup
Add a New PowerPoint Slide:
If you want to add new slide to your presentation then you have to first select the Home and then New Slide. In this you will add the title and the content slide layout. This contains the title, bullet text and images. But if you need different slide then you have to select the New Slide down Arrow. In this there are nine different slides layout. You can choose one of them for your presentation. If you want to add new slide to your layout then first go to Home then New Slide.
Change PowerPoint Slide Layout:
If you have created the slide but you don’t like the layout then you have to go to Home then Layout.
The description of the 9 slide layout:
- Title Slide:
Title slide is used in the beginning of the presentation to introduce your topic.
- Title and Content:
This is the commonly used layout, this is a default slide.
- Section Header:
It is used to separate different sections.
- Two Content:
This is used to show two columns of the text and graphic content.
This slide is used to compare two type of same content type.
This type of slide is used for title only, not title and subtitle.
This slide is used when the picture and the graphic object need no further information.
- Content with Caption:
This slide contains two columns, one is for the text and other is for the images and illustrations.
- Picture with Caption:
This slide is similar to the Content with caption, in which right column is for the text and the left column is for the picture which will stored on your computer.

You can customize the slides in the presentation. You can add, move, and remove text boxes and other objects at any time on any slide.
